Discat is in fact 3 programs: a creator,a reader and a requestor, all of which are to manage piles of floppydisks (or HD's (:-)). It let's you scan all your disks, including opening of archives and CFS files, and save these lists into a file. Needless to say: there are functions to edit the list and search for words. If you use the request program, you just drag a file/selection from the list in !Discat to the !Request application,it will store it (unfortunately not edit or alter, once it's there (:-( ...so you ordered the 15 disk release of ARMTeX because it couldn't be removed from the request file??) and generate a file that runs like: please send me the following files on the following disks....... You can mail that file to the originator of the List, and if he is willing, he might send you these files ! arcinfo@rus.uni-stuttgart.de
