Description: This is a cut-down version of Acorn Replay, an application for playing movies and soundtracks. The file a184.uue is a uuencoded archive containing the applications: !ARMovie 1.00 (21/09/92): A cut-down ARMovie resource directory. Basically it supports all 8 sound formats, but can only play RGB format files (rather than YUV as well) at between 1 to 8 bits per pixel on arbitary pixel shape displays. It will complain about (say) not having 8yuv11 if asked to play a YUV format file in screen mode 28. Each of the extra pixel map files is 128K so I cut it down as far as possible! !ARPlayer 0.43 (02/07/92): A desktop player for ARMovie files: buttons to press, can start anywhere in movies with keys (unlike Flypast2 - no keys in that movie). Exactly as on the Replay CD. !MultSound 0.31 (13/10/92): A desktop multitasking sound only ARMovie file player. Plays just the soundtrack, but multitasking while it is played. Controls similar to !ARPlayer. Slightly more recent than the version on the Replay CD. The file a184film.uue is a uuencoded archive containing an example movie: Flypast2: 14 seconds of "Practise for London Battle of Britain Flypast taking place over RAF Wittering" filmed by Anglia television. Full length versions of this with keys at 12.5 and 25 fps are on the Replay CD "VideoClip Collection One".
