Description:

A symbolic link is a file containing the file name of A) another file or
B) a directory, which behaves exactly like the object it's pointing to.
You can reference to the link just as you would to the original. Thus it
behaves just like a copy of the original file/directory, except changes
made to the original or the link are always made to the original.
