Description:

MLCSDemo is a demonstration of an image compression routine. The
images are taken from Detritus and are 8bit photographic images. They
have been compressed using MLCS, a lossy compression algorithm, to
about half their original size. Each is on average 75% of the size of
the equivalent JPEG file and of higher quality. MLCS will also compress
24bit files (typically to around 26% of original size). MLCS is
available to programmers and can be obtained from Myndgaemz, 18 Mallory
Crescent, Fareham, Hants, PO16 7QA.
