Description: TexPix is a utility for converting images in sprite format to text files. It also allows sequences of such images to be animated. The conversion takes a Mode 0 image, scans it and finds appropriate ASCII symbols to replace each character-sized block on screen. The application also contains a module that provides a new screen mode (mode 90) which gives a more compact representation when viewing images using !Edit. Example files and an animation are included.
